Aspire Indiana Health, Inc. Appoints Medical Director

Dr. David Dwyer

Aspire Indiana Health, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has appointed David Dwyer, M.D. as its first Medical Director of Primary Care.

Dr. Dwyer brings a wealth of primary care experience to AIH from his over 40-year career as a doctor of internal medicine at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions, as well as medically complex situations where several different conditions exist at the same time.

Dr. Dwyer says he was inspired to take the position of Medical Director at Aspire Indiana Health because of the way that AIH provides a continuous flow of behavioral and primary health services to patients.

Aspire Indiana Health’s Chief Operating Officer Syd Ehmke said, “Dr. Dwyer brings to the organization a passion for teaching and training others, a stellar career of providing internal medical care, and kindness and humility to understand that, as a medical provider, his role is to help guide the patient in their wellness journey. The AIH team of medical providers look forward to learning from Dr. Dwyer and using this knowledge to help take better care of our clients.”

Dr. Dwyer is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Wisconsin and did his internship and residency work at the University of Missouri Medical School.

He takes on the role during a period of substantial expansion at Aspire Indiana Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center focused on providing integrated healthcare in central Indiana. The agency has locations in Anderson, Elwood, Carmel, and Indianapolis, and will be expanding to Noblesville and Boone County in early 2018. Aspire Indiana Health is an affiliate partner of Aspire Indiana, a non-profit that has been providing behavioral health services for over 40 years.
