$4.5 Million Data Center Expansion Wraps Up

Expedient, a cloud computing and data center infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider, announced the completion of a $4.5 million expansion and upgrade of its data center in Carmel.

The expansion added 3,500 square feet of computer room space, increasing raised floor space to 26,000 square feet, in addition to 12,500 square feet of electrical/mechanical rooms and more than 15,000 square feet of office, common area, and convenience spaces. Additional upgrades included the replacement of two Flywheel UPS systems, the installation of new computer room air conditioning units and power distribution units, and design improvements and additional cooling capacity for the HVAC system, resulting in a higher level of redundancy for Expedient customers.

“With our second expansion in Indianapolis, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to providing our customers with leading IaaS and cloud solutions in a premier data center facility,” said Jim Kothe, Regional Vice President for Expedient.

Like all Expedient data centers, the Indianapolis data center offers all Expedient services from physical server colocation to public and private cloud infrastructure, and a suite of managed IT infrastructure services, along with 24x7x365 on-site support. All Expedient data centers are connected through Layer 2 network access and a minimum 10Gbps private fiber backbone, creating a powerful distributed presence for critical IT infrastructure services. And, all Expedient data centers offer SOC 1 (SSAE-18) and SOC 2 audit attestations, and support customers’ needs to meet PCI DSS, HIPAA, and other industry/regulatory compliance mandates.
