Architecture Firm Adds New Studio Lead

Architecture and engineering firm Schmidt Associates welcomes Richard (Dick) Butwin, PE, as a Client Liaison and the leader of the firm’s Workplace and Lifestyle Studios. He will work closely with Schmidt Associates principals and design staff to enhance client success and guide studio growth.

Butwin, a licensed engineer, comes to Schmidt Associates from Zurbuch Inc., a development and construction consulting firm. He also spent more than 20 years at Ghafari Associates, including at the executive level.

His specialty lies in delivering success for clients with complex and technically demanding projects. His leadership, operational management, and strategic planning skills are invaluable throughout the course of every project.

In addition to the Workplace and Lifestyle Studios, Butwin will provide guidance for the firm’s Community Studio. The company also has studios in higher education, K-12 education, and healthcare.
