Finish Line COO to Present “10 Tips for Women Who Want to Lead”

What if there were a way for regional companies to enhance their profitability simply by creating greater gender balance among their executive teams? It’s true – research suggests that firms with a higher proportion of women on their boards or in top management positions have higher valuations and better returns, and soon, NWI companies will be learning how. During the inaugural Lunch & Learn event of the new Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA), author and Finish Line, Inc. COO Melissa Greenwell will be presenting to local leaders about how they can outperform the competition by empowering women in their organizations.

Greenwell’s presentation will focus on topics such as “How to Increase Profits Through Gender-Balanced Leadership” and “10 Rules for Women Who Want to Lead.”

Her new book, “Money on the Table: How to Increase Profits Through Gender-Balanced Leadership,” is an enlightening look into how differences in perspectives can bring more money to a company’s bottom line.

NWIIWA’s Lunch & Learn events are unique opportunities for organizations to gain valuable information and also show their support for women – whether they are employees, customers, or just amazing women here in NWI. All of NWIIWA’s events are open to anyone, regardless of gender or industry.

The event will take place on August 9, 2018, from 12 to 2PM in the Harre Union at Valparaiso University (1509 Chapel Dr., Valparaiso, IN 46383). Registrations to attend are still currently open on Eventbrite or by visiting the events page on NWIIWA.org.
