Indy Safety Company Named One of Fastest Growing in Nation

Indianapolis-based Trinity Safety Group, a leading safety and risk management consultant for large and small companies has been named to Inc. magazine’s list of America’s fastest growing companies, the Inc. 5000.

The Inc. 5000 is the magazine’s annual feature of America’s fastest-growing private companies. Trinity Safety Group is one of just 63 Indiana companies to make the list. Trinity provides companies of all sizes with organizational and behavioral safety leadership, safety staffing, OSHA and MSHA training, and compliance assistance to help companies keep their employees safe. Inc. rated Trinity’s growth at 147% between 2014 and 2017.

“Our growth can really be credited to our people,” said Trinity President & CEO Jason Jones. “Our product is people and to serve people, our staff helps to build a culture of safety in the business operation. It’s so much more than just compliance, it’s about engaging people to understand how and why to work safely. If we make safety personal and are intentional with our activities, great things will happen.

Jones started the business in his barn in rural Lebanon in 2002 and has grown it to a company of more than 30 employees with an office on the north side of Indianapolis. Trinity recently added an office in Washington, D.C. Trinity supports businesses of all sizes from startups to Fortune 100 companies across the United States.

Jones says each organization and project has its own personality and safety objectives, so the company builds custom safety processes that are unique for each business to generate results and maximize employee buy-in.

“Our staff is passionate about teaching our clients and their employees how to get involved with safety so they become invested in the program. Compliance is a byproduct when everyone understands their role and how to execute work with safe production in mind. While Central Indiana is home of Trinity’s service, it has begun expansion around the country. Jones says Trinity manages over $6 billion in active construction projects in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore areas and has done business in 18 of the 50 states. Locally, Trinity has been involved in some major construction projects, including the 1,200,000-square-foot Indianapolis International Airport terminal, the $593 million Eskenazi Hospital, the 70,000 seat Lucas Oil Stadium, the 1,000-guest room J.W. Marriott, the Indianapolis Convention Center and Project Condor for Rolls Royce.

Trinity values its employees and has built a benefits package to attract and retain great employees. This package includes paying 75% of employee health care premiums, matching 4% of employee 401k contributions, making quarterly contributions to employee Health Savings Accounts, and an employee and client referral bonus program.

Trinity is also an innovative leader in safety technology, including software and virtual reality training into their work.

“Innovation and embracing technology are very important to our organization to further aid in workplace accident prevention,” says Jones. “Continuing to invest resources into technology will allow us to be more effective and efficient, allowing us to help more companies to improve safety in the workplace. We are not raising the bar, we are re-establishing it.”
