Indiana will once again celebrate innovation at Centric’s Day of Innovation conference. This exciting one-day event brings together leaders and practitioners from all sectors and backgrounds. The convergence of minds from business, non-profits, academia, and start-ups creates an unprecedented mix of energy and creativity. Network with others who share an innovation mindset and expose yourself to new perspectives you’ve not considered before.

Day of Innovation will take place Thursday, October 12 on the campus of Butler University. This year’s event will explore three different phases of innovation: Ready, Set, and Go. Featured keynote speakers include Johanna Stein, Maria Odiamar Racho and Michael Graber. Stein is Senior Director, Global Consumer Insights for Mattel. She will share how identifying trends and challenging assumptions leads to consumer-centric strategies. Odiamar Racho is Co-Founder and President of Intrapreneurs@Allstate, an internal consulting group at the Fortune 100 insurance provider. She will share how to bootstrap a grassroots community of corporate entrepreneurs that takes action on innovative ideas. Graber is Managing Partner at Memphis’ Southern Growth Studios and the author of Going Electric: Tales of Innovation from where Rock ‘n’ Roll was Born. He will discuss how to reboot a stale category and commit your team to a winning innovation strategy.

In addition to keynote sessions, Day of Innovation will offer an expanded variety of Learning Labs that are facilitated by local, regional and national thought leaders to equip attendees with practical tools they can implement to drive innovation. These sessions will cover topics ranging from Observation as a Super Power, Leveraging Open Innovation, Diversity is a Competitive Advantage, Mindful Play and more.

Day of Innovation will feature the 2017 Indiana Innovation Awards. Now in its seventh year, it is the only broad-based innovation awards program focused on Indiana. The awards seek to recognize those individuals and organizations who are successfully leading the innovation charge in our state.
