Ribbon Cut on Fresenius Kidney Care in East Chicago

Mayor Anthony Copeland and East Chicago’s Economic Development Department held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center located at 4016 Main Street. Mayor Anthony Copeland gave praise to the collaborative efforts to restore this once brownfield location into a viable building that meets the health needs in the community.

“This is just one component of many new projects. The future is bright, and I am filled with hope and enthusiasm for things coming to East Chicago,” Copeland said.

The center is designed to accommodate up to 24 patients at a time, with equal dialysis stations, televisions, and advanced features like increased accessibility weighing stations. This new location is now along the city’s public bus route where patients can arrive, receive treatment, and use the same transportation back home.
