Senior VP & GM Named at Horseshoe Hammond

Kathryn Jenkins has been named as senior vice president and general manager at Horseshoe Casino Hammond.

Jenkins assumes the day-to-day operations of the Caesars Entertainment-owned property. She brings a wealth of gaming and entertainment experience, having held prominent leadership roles in multiple markets.

“It is an absolute great feeling to be joining such a talented and dedicated team here at Horseshoe Hammond” Jenkins said. “I am looking forward to continuing to build upon Horseshoe’s impressive reputation for providing unparalleled gaming and entertainment experiences and their commitment to exceptional customer service.”

For the best part of 18 years, Jenkins has showcased her talents at Caesars Entertainment. She began her gaming industry career in 2002 as an executive host before quickly moving up the ranks, serving in several key marketing roles.

Following a brief stint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where she served as senior director of casino marketing, Jenkins returned to Caesars Entertainment in 2010. She went on to serve in various marketing leadership capacities, including regional director of VIP sales and marketing and corporate vice president of national casino marketing. Her leadership in these positions resulted in tremendous growth, and Jenkins went on to take the role of vice president of VIP sales and operations, overseeing marketing strategy and operations for all Caesars properties outside of the Las Vegas market, as well as VIP marketing programs throughout the enterprise.

More recently, Jenkins has served in operations focused roles including assistant general manager at Harrah’s New Orleans and then general manager of Horseshoe Bossier City and Harrah’s Louisiana Downs throughout 2019.

“Kathryn’s extensive experience in hospitality and gaming, along with her commitment to leading a team that is focused on providing exceptional service, make her the perfect choice for Horseshoe Hammond,” said Dan Nita, Caesars Entertainment Regional President. “Kathryn’s commitment to excellence is exceptional.”

Jenkins’ appointment presents the Hammond-based property with a new senior vice president and general manager for the first time in 11 years. Nita previously held this position in addition to the regional president role prior to the company’s merger in July.

Jenkins holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Georgia State University.
