South Bend-headquartered 1st Source Bank announced the promotion of two senior leaders. John Bedient is the new Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President with responsibility for information technology, salesforce, the Enterprise Project Management office in addition to his current operations management responsibilities.
Dan Lifferth is the new Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Vice President. He will continue to oversee Human Resources and will add branch administration, community development, and administrative services as additional responsibilities.
In October, 1st Source Corporation, parent company of 1st Source Bank, announced the transition of three senior leaders: Christopher J. Murphy to Executive Chairman; Andrea G. Short to Chief Executive Officer and President of the Corporation, and Chief Executive Officer to the Bank; and Kevin C. Murphy to President of the Bank. These additional promotions follow suit as 1st Source continues to align responsibilities and ensure preparedness for long-term success.
Regarding the promotions of Bedient and Lifferth, Short said both colleagues were promoted due to their long-term service and dedication to our mission, culture and values.
“John’s strategic vision and leadership skills make him the ideal candidate for Chief Operating Officer. With Dan’s extensive experience and commitment to our mission, he is well-equipped to continue to lead Human Resources as well as his new critical areas of responsibility,” she continued.
Bedient joined 1st Source in 1991, holding key responsibilities in several projects, including directing the bank’s utilization of the Real-Time Payments platform. Lifferth has served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at the bank since 2015.
