Buckingham, a national vertically integrated real estate investment firm, announced the addition of W. Jeffrey Beckham as Chief Investment Officer to its executive team. In this new role, Beckham will oversee investment strategy, portfolio management, and capital allocation for Buckingham’s rapidly growing platform.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey, whose experience, expertise, and passion for multifamily real estate align perfectly with the values that have shaped Buckingham over the past 40 years,” said Brad Chambers, Buckingham CEO. “Jeffrey will drive the continued success of our current investments while accelerating the growth of our nationwide real estate portfolio, with a particular focus on global fundraising.”
Beckham joins Buckingham with over 25 years of experience managing large real estate funds. Before joining Buckingham, Beckham served as Head of Portfolio and Asset Management at GID, overseeing multifamily portfolio and asset management, retail asset management, sustainability initiatives and new investment product development. Prior to GID, Beckham was the Head of Institutional Investment Management at Jamestown, managing the firm’s flagship Premier Property Fund. His career also includes leadership roles at Tishman Speyer in New York and Atlanta; Hines in London; and Morgan Stanley Real Estate in New York, London, and Tokyo.
"I am excited to join Buckingham and help grow and build on the incredible platform built over the last 40 years," said Beckham. "With an impressive track record of success and a team of exceptional talent, we are poised to elevate our position as a real estate investment leader."
A graduate of University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, Beckham serves on the board of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC), as well as the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.
