Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. announced the addition of Craig McGowan as Business Development Manager for the southwestern region of Indiana. McGowan will be based out of the firm’s Evansville and Huntingburg offices.
McGowan brings a strong background in public sector financing, having extensive experience working with municipalities and community-focused non-profits. In his previous role as Community Programs Director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), he managed statewide community initiatives, including critical water and environmental programs. His responsibilities included evaluating financial reports and audits to determine financial capacity and project feasibility — experience that will prove invaluable to Commonwealth’s clients.
“Craig’s depth of knowledge in community development, coupled with his passion for helping local governments navigate complex funding mechanisms, makes him a great fit for our team,” said Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer Theresa Criss-Hartwig. “We are proud to welcome him and excited for the value he will bring to our clients.”
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Southern Indiana. His expertise in funding strategy and financial analysis will be a key asset in helping communities address their infrastructure needs effectively and sustainably.
For over five decades, Commonwealth Engineers has been a leader in providing water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure solutions across Indiana.
