Construction professionals from around the region will trade hard hats for grilling aprons during the highly-anticipated annual Smoke Off, Cook Off event, scheduled this year for 12-4 p.m. July 21 at Bulldog Park in Crown Point.
The event, organized by the Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable (NWIBRT), celebrates the people who build Northwest Indiana with an afternoon of networking, delicious food and some friendly competition.
Designed for contractors, owners, suppliers, labor partners and industry professionals, the Smoke Off, Cook Off event is an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new industry partners and engage with decision-makers in a fun, relaxed environment.
“This signature event really captures the spirit of the industry,” said Robert Joseph of ArcelorMittal USA Research and Chair of NWIBRT. “These professionals work hard together every day, and the Smoke Off, Cook Off gives everyone a chance to celebrate those partnerships while building something just as valuable off the jobsite – lasting connections.”
Teams will compete for the event championship and year-long bragging rights as people’s choice voting continues throughout the day. The event features a convenient come-and-go attendance to complement the casual atmosphere.
