First Bank of Berne has added Taylor Lehman as Human Resources Manager, bringing local experience and a strong background in supporting employees and workplace culture.
Lehman brings 12 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee development, engagement, and day-to-day organizational support. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from Ball State University and a Master of Health Administration from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
“As we continue to grow, maintaining alignment between our values and our people is essential,” said Kent Liechty, President and CEO of First Bank of Berne. “Taylor’s experience will help ensure we continue to bring in and support individuals who fit how we serve our customers and communities.”
In her role, Lehman will focus on employee development, engagement, and maintaining a strong workplace culture across the organization. Her work will play an important part in helping the bank thoughtfully grow while staying consistent in its approach to hiring and supporting employees.
“Finding the right fit goes beyond skills and experience it’s about building a team where people feel supported and able to contribute,” said Lehman. “I enjoy helping individuals and teams grow so they can do their best work.” Lehman values the opportunity to work within the community she calls home and to contribute in a way that supports both employees and the organization.

She is actively involved in the community as a member, Sunday School teacher, and Treasurer at First Mennonite Church and serves as a Board Member for the Berne Community Development Corporation.
Outside of work, Lehman enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam, and their two children, Parker (7) and Emersyn (3). She values time with family and friends, enjoys vacationing at the beach, reading, and supporting her children’s activities.
