Hitachi Releases New Cutting-Edge Air Compressor, Appoints New CEO

Michigan City-headquartered Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, an industry leader in innovative compressed air solutions, has made two major announcements for the company. Hitachi has announced the release of the Sullair E425H electric rotary screw portable air compressor as well as the appointment of Hideki Fujimoto to President and CEO of the company, effective April 1.

The release of the Sullair E425H electric rotary screw portable air compressor is the next step in the company’s new era of innovation and commitment to providing environment-forward compressed air solutions that meet customer need.

The Sullair E425H delivers 425 CFM at 150 psi of compressed air power in a maneuverable user-friendly design. Highlights of the E425H include:

  • Durability and Reliability: Built to perform in tough indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Innovative Condensate Management: Features a patent-pending system that eliminates the need for condensate disposal, reducing environmental impact.
  • Ease of Service: Patent-pending swing-out coolers allow for convenient cleaning and maintenance. and easy-to-service design with swing out coolers for easy cleaning.
  • Advanced Control and Connectivity: A 7-inch color touch-screen controller ensures intuitive operation, while Sullair AirLinx® enables remote monitoring, troubleshooting and equipment tracking.
  • Operational Safety: The package layout is designed to enhance safety by keeping electrical and compressed air hazards away from the operator and control panel.
     

The fully electric operation of the E425H results in quieter operations and no emissions. The E425H may be used anywhere with access to suitable power – including indoor locations not suitable for diesel compressors.

In his new position with Hitachi, Fujimoto succeeds John Randall who has been promoted to President and CEO of Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd (HIES). Hitachi Global Air Power is part of HIES, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.

Fujimoto, currently Deputy Group Executive of the Global Air Power division at HIES brings extensive experience in leadership, engineering and innovation development and has been instrumental in the building of Hitachi Global Air Power’s global new product development program - the first of its kind in Hitachi’s history. The program harnesses global expertise to drive efficient, customer-focused product innovation. Throughout his tenure at Hitachi, Fujimoto has assumed increasing responsibility, including serving as Vice President Engineering at Hitachi Global Air Power. He will relocate from Tokyo to Michigan City, Indiana in the coming months.

John Randall who has led Hitachi Global Air Power for the past four years, has been pivotal in modernizing the company’s manufacturing capabilities and expanding the company’s go-to[1]market strategy. In his new role, Randall will oversee the HIES group and relocate to Tokyo, Japan in the coming months.
