Indianapolis Among Pilot Locations for Meta’s Skilled Trades Academy

Posted

Meta is launching America’s Workforce Academy, and they’ve chosen Indiana as one of just four locations nationwide to host it.

The nationwide program aims to fast-track long-term careers in skilled trades for AI infrastructure jobs, powered by an initial $115 million first-year investment. The cost-free program supports participants while they learn and then guarantees a job for all graduates. No degree or prior experience is required.

Meta will fund the 4- to 5-week boot camp, covering all tuition, airfare, lodging, and providing a daily stipend.

Graduates earn both the industry-recognized National Center for Construction Education and Research credential and an America’s Workforce Certificate, both designed to travel with the worker across employers and industry sectors.

Accepted participants are issued a guaranteed job offer by a Meta contractor partner as soon as they start the program. The job offer is conditioned on successful completion of the program, and upon graduation, trainees are immediately employed by the contractor partner and assigned to work on-site at Meta data center construction sites.

“The AI revolution is bringing change but also historic opportunities,” said Dina Powell McCormick, Meta President and Vice-Chairman. “Skilled workers electrified rural America one pole at a time. They manned the factories that built the arsenal that won World War II. Now a new generation will pour the foundations and lay the fiber that secures American strength in this new age.”

In addition to Indianapolis, the program will launch in Louisiana, Ohio and Texas as the 2026 pilot locations. For more information, visit Meta.com/AmericasWorkforceAcademy.
