Knauf Insulation, Inc., a leading North American manufacturer of fiberglass insulation, announced the addition of a new, dedicated blowing wool line at its Shelbyville fiberglass insulation manufacturing facility. The new line is expected to be commissioned in Q2 of 2026.
“The demand for new homes and repair and remodel projects coupled with fast-growing consumer interest in improved energy efficiency and enhanced indoor air quality demonstrates the opportunity for market growth,” says Matt Parrish, President and CEO of Knauf North America.
According to ICF Research, 89% of U.S. homes are under-insulated. Insulating a single home can lead to significant energy savings as well as money in the pocket for contractors and homeowners by taking advantage of currently available tax credits.
“Insulation as a whole keeps your spaces comfortable, supports healthy and safe environments, and helps your home stand the test of time,” says Parrish. “Most importantly, it saves energy, which can mean lower utility bills and supports improved indoor air quality.”
