Korellis, a commercial roofing and building envelope contractor headquartered in Hammond, announced the promotion of Matt Evans to President.
Known for his servant leadership and people-first approach, Evans brings more than two decades of construction experience and a strong focus on trust, accountability, and culture building.
Since joining Korellis as Vice President of Operations, Evans has focused on building relationships across all departments, listening closely to the needs of both field and office teams, and fostering a culture of open communication and mutual respect. His approach has already made a lasting impression, helping employees feel seen, heard, and empowered.
In his new role, Evans will lead the company’s strategic direction while maintaining a strong focus on team development and customer experience. He plans to support continued growth in Korellis’ core roofing services while also exploring opportunities to expand service offerings and specialty trades across the broader Midwest region.
“Success begins with people,” said Evans. “When employees feel valued and supported, they perform at their best and that ultimately benefits our customers and the communities we serve.”
As a 100 percent employee-owned company, Korellis’ culture of accountability and long-term investment in its people aligns closely with Evans’ leadership values. He views the role of President not as a title but as a responsibility to serve every employee with integrity, transparency, and care.
Evans is especially passionate about strengthening Korellis’ presence in Illinois, where he sees opportunity to grow client relationships in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets by delivering dependable solutions built on safety, quality, and communication.
“This company has a strong foundation and a clear mission,” Evans added. “It’s an honor to help carry that forward with the same core values that have made Korellis what it is today.”
