Reid Health's efforts to use the latest technology to improve patient care and staff workflows has brought national attention to the health system's Vice President/Chief Information Officer, Muhammad Siddiqui.

Becker's Hospital Review has named Siddiqui one of its "Hospital and health system CIOs to know" for 2026. Across the country, 135 people were recognized, with Siddiqui being the only CIO in Indiana to make the list.

"Rapid technological advancement is fueling innovation and growth across the healthcare industry, and bold CIOs are leading the transformation," Becker's said. "These forward-thinking executives are quick to adopt emerging technologies and design inventive health IT strategies that support both patients and providers.

"Becker's Healthcare is proud to honor these trailblazing leaders for their dedication to advancing healthcare through technology. Their vision and expertise are essential to the continued success and evolution of their organizations."

In its profile of Siddiqui, Becker's cited Reid's pioneering work on smart hospital rooms as well as the successful implementation of software across the organization that has modernized outdated systems and improved workflows.

"Mr. Siddiqui uses his CIO role at Reid Health to drive innovation that directly benefits caregivers and patients," Becker's said. "His leadership is built on cross-functional collaboration, thoughtful AI governance, and clear alignment with rural healthcare realities."

Siddiqui joined the Reid Health administrative team in August 2022. He came to Reid with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare systems and complex transformation projects across the U.S. and Middle East, including as the Chief Information Officer for International Medical Center in Saudi Arabia.

"I'm thankful for the recognition, but it really belongs to the teams at Reid who do the work every day," Siddiqui said. "In a rural community, technology has to prove its value. It should make care simpler, safer, and more personal. I'm proud of how our clinicians, operational leaders, and IT teams keep showing up for each other and making that happen."
