Every breakthrough starts with someone, somewhere, asking a better question. Across Indiana, forward-thinking technology companies are answering them.
The state’s technology sector is gaining momentum, fueled by ambitious entrepreneurs who are applying artificial intelligence, data and automation to solve practical business challenges across industries. In fact, Indiana-based tech companies raised about $290 million across 98 venture deals in 2025, TechPoint reported. Technology-focused investments accounted for 77% of all venture capital activity in the state, the organization noted.
Behind those numbers are founders and innovators asking even smarter questions. How can AI better understand people? How can businesses trust automation? How can organizations turn massive amounts of data into decisions that will push them ahead?
The leaders featured on the following pages share how they are answering those questions. Here is a glimpse of some of the exciting innovations taking shape across the Hoosier State:

ShuffleMe is an Indiana-based AI company launched in 2023. ShuffleMe develops multimodal behavioral intelligence technology that helps organizations better understand how people respond to digital experiences through computer vision, behavioral analytics, and human-centered artificial intelligence.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into everyday life, organizations understand what their systems produce but often have limited insight into how people actually respond. ShuffleMe was created to help close that gap.
ShuffleMe began by exploring how social media influences mental well-being, with the goal of helping people better understand their own digital habits. Through years of research, that mission expanded into a broader vision: building multimodal behavioral intelligence technology that helps organizations understand how people think, feel, engage, and respond during digital experiences.
Rather than relying on a single source of information, ShuffleMe combines behavioral signals, computer vision, and AI to build a more complete understanding of human experience. Our long-term vision is to make these capabilities accessible through software that researchers, developers, and organizations can integrate into digital products across industries where understanding human behavior leads to better experiences and better decisions.
We believe the next generation of AI should not only generate intelligent outputs but should also help organizations better understand the people they serve.

Software engineering is the job most directly disrupted by AI. Our team has aggressively leaned into these tools to reinvent ourselves. There’s no clear finish line in the midst of disruption, but our teams are rapidly evolving to incorporate agentic tools into rigorous software engineering. The result is that our customers get more for their dollar without sacrificing quality.
While AI dominates the headlines, most organizations have real opportunities around data. Data that only they have, giving them a competitive advantage. Data that supports confident decision-making. Data that exposes internal bottlenecks and inefficiencies holding their companies back. The tools, patterns, and frameworks to make dramatic (and cost-effective) improvements are readily available.
Indiana is a state where digital meets the physical world - life sciences, aerospace, automotive, to name a few. This core competency is a big deal - the physical world is challenging. These waves of disruptive technology - AI, edge computing, data, connectivity, sensors, robotics - are permeating these industries. Indiana is positioned to lead, not follow.

Ekkobar, launched Sept. 2025 at TED Sports in Indianapolis, is a decision intelligence platform utilizing social media to understand the whole conversation across people, content, platforms, and time to help businesses make better decisions.
Ekkobar’s most innovative solution is its Social Decision Intelligence™ platform, which transforms millions of social media conversations into clear, actionable business answers, free from bots and AI-rubbish. Rather than simply tracking mentions, engagement, or sentiment, Ekkobar understands the context and authenticity behind conversations, helping organizations uncover what people truly think, why they think it, and what actions to take next. This enables brands, sports organizations, entertainment companies, and others to make better marketing, partnership, influencer, product, competitor, and other business decisions with greater confidence. Ekkobar was built to solve a growing problem: organizations are overwhelmed by the volume and complexity of social data yet struggle to extract meaningful insights from it.

Prediction Guard was founded in 2023 and has grown to a team of 14 people based in Lafayette. We are solving one of the most critical challenges for enterprises in 2026: the control and governance of autonomous AI agents operating within a company’s infrastructure. Prediction Guard allows companies to rapidly adopt transformative AI technologies (for vibe-coding, operational efficiencies, new revenue generation, etc.) without treating security as an afterthought.
Prediction Guard is the industry’s first in-boundary AI control plane designed for the "Agentic Shift." Today, 83% of organizations are deploying autonomous AI agents. The real-world problem is the blast radius: AI is moving from simply answering questions to executing actions inside your sensitive systems. Centralized perimeter defenses fail against this internal access, causing 20% of enterprises to face AI breaches (1 in 8 driven directly by autonomous agents).
Prediction Guard solves this by embedding a “governance harness” directly within your secure infrastructure perimeter. Our track record proves you don’t have to sacrifice engineering velocity for control. In a validation study with a research team at Purdue University, Prediction Guard delivered 100% protection against a barrage of agentic AI risks in 5 categories identified by the OWASP (a foundation trusted industry wide). We enable companies to scale high-impact AI rapidly, avoid AI model or vendor lock-in, and maintain alignment with AI security best practices.

Robosource is an Indiana-based AI automation company founded in 2012. Our team of 10 operates at the intersection of artificial intelligence and business operations, helping companies orchestrate workflows, capture institutional knowledge, and scale smarter. Our flagship product, ProcessCoach.ai — launched in 2025 — helps bridge the gap between AI theoretically helping your business and AI practically solving problems while enabling your business to grow.
Most AI adoption initiatives fail (some studies say > 80%) because of change management and cultural resistance. AI is hard. You can’t just plug AI into current processes and expect massive change. If you were asked to dig a pool with a shovel, you would create a different plan than if you had a backhoe. AI is the same. You must reimagine how you think about and address the problem and processes.
Recognizing this, we didn’t build another tool that went directly to end clients, because we felt that would set the client up for failure. Rather, we wanted to work with the people who already know the industry vertical. Consultants who have been helping manufacturing, e-commerce, or HR organizations. Professionals who would understand the impact of changes to process, culture, and operations. We wanted to build the platform that empowered these consultants to bring revolutionary, AI-driven solutions to their clients, because those solutions will be better suited to solve actual problems.
We built ProcessCoach.ai for those professionals so they can quickly build, deploy, and manage AI in ways that concretely improve their clients’ business. Partnering with them brings innovative, targeted solutions to their clients.
