Southern Indiana-based Ciholas Launches New Location Tracking System

Posted

Newburgh-based engineering company, Ciholas, has released the CUWB Real Time Location System (RTLS). Powered by Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, CUWB is a revolutionary RTLS designed to deliver high-precision location data to track assets in industries such as logistics, manufacturing, entertainment, sports analytics, healthcare, and more. CUWB sets a new standard in location tracking with a high-performance and low-cost system.

CUWB is the latest UWB RTLS from Ciholas but comes after years of experience building custom systems for clients that require reliability, accuracy, precision, and performance. The new product combines those features with a desire to make the technology more affordable and within reach of more industries.

"Using UWB for RTLS has historically lacked the right combination of features, performance, and cost-effectiveness for many applications. These factors have prevented UWB from realizing its true potential to deliver game-changing location services to numerous industries," says Mike Ciholas, president and founder of Ciholas, Inc. "The CUWB system was specifically designed to bring UWB RTLS to many more applications with superior performance, low-cost hardware, and no recurring software fees. UWB RTLS will be as transformative to indoor location as GPS has been to outdoor navigation."

The CUWB RTLS was fully designed and developed by Ciholas engineers in Newburgh. Ciholas strategically leverages the region's lower cost of living and welcoming community to recruit and retain high-quality developers and engineers.

"You don't need to be in Silicon Valley to build transformative technology," Mike Ciholas adds. "By offering creative and challenging work in our local community, we successfully keep our world-class talent right here, driving innovation from the Midwest."
