STAR Financial Bank announced the promotion of Cory Weaver to Director of Technology Operations. Cory brings more than 20 years of experience in information technology, 10 of those years with STAR, serving in various technology roles within the bank.

In his new role, Cory will lead STAR’s infrastructure, service desk, IT security, and core systems teams, ensuring the bank’s IT systems remain scalable, secure, and reliable, expertise he has honed in his current role, where he manages the organization’s IT infrastructure and drives continuous improvement in disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
“Cory has been a foundational member of STAR’s technology team, leading the design and implementation of critical IT infrastructure,” said Brian Avery, Chief Technology Officer. “He is uniquely positioned to lead the Technology Operations department and guide the company in adopting new technologies that enhance both operations and customer experience.”
Through his decade-long tenure, Cory also served as a Systems Architect, leading the design and implementation of STAR Financial Bank’s server, storage, and systems infrastructure. This experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the bank’s business operations and strong collaborative relationships across departments.
He holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University and brings more than a decade of experience with STAR, along with a strong background in the financial services industry.
