STAR Financial Bank announced the addition of Hezekiah Russell as Commercial Banker, serving the Fort Wayne market.
In his role, Russell will focus on supporting middle market businesses in the commercial and industrial (C&I) space, helping clients drive efficiency, manage risk, and achieve sustainable growth.
“Hezekiah brings a diverse banking background with a strong foundation in commercial credit,” said David Leininger, Region President at STAR Financial Bank. “He is deeply committed to the community, serving as a small business owner, chair of Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, and volunteering with numerous other organizations. With more than five years of banking experience, Russell has developed specialized expertise in commercial banking, with hands-on experience structuring credit solutions and navigating complex financial needs and challenges facing middle market companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Finance and a Certificate of Bank Management. Russell is also a graduate of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) Leadership Institute. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he currently serves as Chair of Young Professionals for the Northeast Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA), a position he has held since 2023.
