STAR Financial Group announced the promotion of Erin Morris to Director of Human Resources. In this role, Morris will lead STAR’s overall people strategy and employee experience, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to its employees and long-term growth.

Since joining STAR, Morris has strengthened hiring processes, enhanced consistency across HR practices, and built trusted relationships throughout the organization. In her expanded role, she will oversee workforce planning, compensation, HR operations, benefits and wellness, talent acquisition, and the overall employee experience, while partnering closely with Learning and Development to support STAR’s long-term workforce needs.
Morris joined STAR one year ago, bringing more than 18 years of human resources leadership experience. Prior to STAR, she spent the majority of her career with Zimmer Biomet, where she held several HR leadership roles and developed broad expertise across talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee relations. Her career began in banking, with early experience as a teller at Standard Federal and First Source, followed by a role with Pro Resources.
Morris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management and a minor in Organizational Communications from Ball State University. She resides in Fort Wayne with her husband, Andy, and their two daughters.
