Sterling Group has promoted Drew C. Strobel to Vice President and General Counsel, strengthening the firm’s leadership team as it continues to execute on its investment, development, and operational growth strategy.
In this expanded role, Strobel will oversee all legal affairs across Sterling Group’s national portfolio and play a key role in advancing strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, development, and capital partnerships. He will also serve on the company’s Board of Advisors and Investment Committee.
Strobel brings more than 15 years of experience in complex real estate transactions and has been a trusted advisor to Sterling Group’s executive team. He has supported a broad range of activity across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use developments throughout the United States and Canada.
“Drew has been instrumental in helping us navigate increasingly complex transactions while maintaining speed and discipline,” said Lance Swank, President and CEO. “This promotion reflects both his impact to date and the critical role he will continue to play as we scale the platform.”
Prior to joining Sterling Group, Strobel held senior legal roles at Scannell Properties, where he served as lead counsel on high-value real estate transactions. He began his legal career at Krieg DeVault LLP and Griffith Law Group LLC, focusing on commercial real estate, land use, and zoning.
This promotion comes as Sterling Group continues to expand its integrated real estate platform across investment, development, construction, and property management, with a growing presence in multifamily and self-storage.
