Sterling Industrial, a leading energy, industrial, and infrastructure construction contractor, announced the promotion of Scott Ambrose and Ryan Higbie to co-presidents of the organization.
Ambrose joined the Sterling team in 2020 after nearly 25 years with Industrial Contractors (now Sterling), where he began as a general/civil estimator and rose through the organization to vice president of estimating. Higbie joined Traylor Bros., Inc. in 1998 working multiple projects as a field engineer, superintendent, and project manager as well as spending time as an estimator and pursuit leader in the Heavy Civil Division before transitioning to Sterling in 2016 when it was acquired by Traylor Construction Group.
As co-presidents, Ambrose and Higbie will continue to oversee Sterling Industrial’s day-to-day operations across all departments as the team looks to grow the organization in the Midwest. Additionally, Ambrose and Higbie will continue as co-presidents of the newest member of Traylor Construction Group, Traylor Building. The building contractor, specializing in construction management and Design-Build projects, hit the ground running and is working to expand its reach. Both companies are headquartered in Evansville, while Sterling also has an established regional location in Marietta, Ohio.
