Tool Maker Announces Second Expansion in Three Years

Festool, a high-end power tool manufacturer, is once again expanding in Lebanon.

The company plans to invest $9.3 million and add 80,000 square feet to their facility in the Lebanon Business Park. The expansion will also create up to 65 new jobs.

“We are excited that Festool has chosen Lebanon to expand their North American Headquarters,” said Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry. “The company has been a valued member of our community and the Lebanon Business Park for more than 10 years.”

“Indiana is recognized as the best state in the Midwest for doing business, and our economic momentum continues to build thanks in large part to our strong manufacturing industry,” said Elaine Bedel, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “Faced with a world of options for growth, global companies like Festool are looking to Indiana and calling on our skilled workforce to move their businesses forward. We look forward to the company’s expanding future in Boone County and the impact it will have on Hoosiers across the region.”

Festool relocated its headquarters facility from California to Boone County in 2006, and in 2015 the company doubled its facility.

“Festool is excited to once again expand its facilities in Lebanon, Indiana,” said CFO Brian Goldthorpe. “The qualities that drew us to Lebanon 11 years ago have only improved over the years, and were a key factor in our decision making process. We appreciate all the support we have received from the community.”
